Culture Of Uttarakhand – Uttarakhand, earlier known as Uttaranchal was divided from Uttar Pradesh in the year of 2000 to form a new state. The beautiful state is divided into two regions Garhwal and Kumaon – spreading in 13 districts. The beautiful state is recognized as the part of famous Kedarkhand (Garhwal) and Manaskhand (Kumaon). It is said that famous sage Vyas composed Epic “Mahabharata” in this state.
