From the ancient temple of Triyuginarayan to the scenic meadows of Chopta and the revered Tungnath Temple, this package ensures a perfect blend of adventure and devotion.
Triyuginarayan Temple – A Sacred Landmark
The journey begins with a visit to Triyuginarayan Temple, a legendary site associated with the celestial wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Located in Rudraprayag district, this temple is not just a place of worship but a living testimony to Hindu mythology. Pilgrims believe that the eternal flame burning in front of the temple has been alight since that divine wedding, symbolizing everlasting faith and devotion. The spiritual aura of this temple makes it a must-visit destination for devotees.
Chopta – The Mini Switzerland of India
After seeking blessings at Triyuginarayan, the tour takes you to Chopta, often called the Mini Switzerland of India. Nestled amidst the lush green forests of pine, deodar, and rhododendron, Chopta is a breathtaking hill station. The serene surroundings, snow-clad Himalayan views, and unspoiled charm make Chopta an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts. It also serves as the base camp for treks to Tungnath and Chandrashila. Whether it’s bird watching, camping, or simply soaking in the scenic beauty, Chopta never fails to mesmerize its visitors.
Tungnath Temple – The Highest Shiva Temple
One of the major highlights of this package is a visit to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Perched at an altitude of 3,680 meters, Tungnath is one of the Panch Kedar shrines, carrying immense mythological significance. The trek to Tungnath from Chopta is around 3.5 kilometers and offers panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul. The temple not only holds spiritual importance but also provides a rewarding trekking experience for adventure seekers.
Scenic Trek to Chandrashila (Optional)
For those who wish to extend their adventure, the trek from Tungnath continues to Chandrashila Peak, located at 4,000 meters. This optional trek is relatively short but moderately challenging, offering mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views. Chandrashila is also believed to be the place where Lord Rama meditated after defeating Ravana. Standing at the summit, one can witness a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Himalayan range.
